The only thing it's missing that you won't find in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming of floors with no floor. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that can fully self-refill and empty its base station and it has an its own self-cleaning mop pads. As with other iRobot models like the X40 is easy to use, offering an intuitive mobile app interface as well as integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and Google Assistant. The only issue is that it's a noisy unit which could be problematic if you run it in the morning before work, or at night when you try to fall asleep. It's also quite expensive but not as expensive as the Ecovacs MaxV Ultra or the Roborock S8 Omni, which are both equally capable and better looking. This is a two-in-one vacuum that's extremely powerful however, it will cost you more and create more noise. iRobot L20 Ultra The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop, with a lot of advanced features that let you get rid of your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaner like Ecovacs top-of-the-line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It features a multi-functional dock that can automatically emptys the vacuum's bin and refills the water tank, as well as washes and drys mop pads. The smart robot employs the combination of LIDAR and structured light to map out floor plans and identify obstacles, navigating more intelligently than its top competitors. It also mopses using a single pad and a reciprocating motion which is cleaner than the majority of the robot mop cleaners that we've examined. It's also self-sufficient with a fully-featured app, and a self emptying base that can be washed. The iRobot app is designed to guide you through the mapping process which collects information about your floorplan and any “no go” areas you've marked on the map. It can be used to create cleaning schedules or create a spot-clean. You can also use it to prioritize your dirtiest areas to improve performance. The app comes with a variety of features, such as seasonal suggestions, custom mapping, and advanced cleaning settings. Its shape is more rectangular than most other robot vacuums, which means it can get to corners and under furniture more easily. It also has a strong 8,000 Pascal suction and intelligent combs for pet hair. You can also organize a spot-cleaner that will thoroughly clean the area. The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD offers a sleeker more affordable alternative to iRobot Roomba.
